The only way to survive was to try to transcend myself, to find some kind of deeper, spiritual relationship with life. Once I committed to that, all these little miracles started happening.” - Eef Barzelay (Clem Snide) Brooklyn - based band Clem Snide take their name from a William Burroughs character and their broad music influences from Sonic Youth, Hank Williams, Jonathan Richman and many others. Their unique brand of Avant Americana features the traditional and non-traditonal sharing the same space. Its a pop group with a twist. Lyrics reign supreme in their world, but don't call it singer-songwriter.
